Position: Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Chief Engineer
Location: Brunton Boatyard, Fort Kochi

Job Summary

Responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance of hotel equipment, machinery, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other engineering systems to ensure smooth and safe hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out daily inspection and preventive maintenance of hotel equipment and systems.
- Attend to maintenance complaints and breakdowns promptly.
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and mechanical repair works.
- Monitor and maintain HVAC, pumps, motors, generators, kitchen equipment, and other engineering systems.
- Identify faults and take appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Assist in scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained properly.
- Follow safety procedures and hotel engineering standards at all times.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding maintenance requirements.
- Support external technicians and contractors during repair and maintenance work.
- Report major faults or equipment issues to the Engineering Supervisor/Manager.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requirements whenever required.
- Ensure minimum disruption to guest services while carrying out maintenance work.




- Follow energy and water conservation practices within the property.
- Perform any other engineering-related duties assigned by the management.

Qualifications & Experience

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in hospitality maintenance or a similar setting.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and maintenance practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine technical issues.
- Hotel engineering experience will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹18,500.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
