Role Overview

The Road Safety Trainer will be responsible for conducting road safety training and awareness sessions for identified participants and communities. The role will focus on delivering structured training modules, facilitating behavioural change and reinforcement activities, conducting demonstrations and interactive sessions, and engaging with schools, communities, institutions, and other stakeholders to promote safer road-use practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Road Safety Training & Awareness

● Conduct road safety training and awareness sessions for target participants as per the programme plan.

● Deliver structured road safety training modules using interactive and participant-friendly methods.

● Conduct demonstrations, practical activities, role plays, discussions, and other engagement-based learning activities.

● Explain key road safety practices, traffic rules, responsible road-user behaviour, and risk prevention measures.

● Adapt training approaches based on the age, background, and learning needs of participants.

2. Behavioural Change & Reinforcement

● Facilitate activities aimed at promoting safer road-use behaviour among participants.

● Conduct behavioural reinforcement sessions and follow-up activities to encourage adoption of secure practices.

● Identify common behavioural gaps and misconceptions related to road safety.

● Use practical examples, demonstrations, and field observations to reinforce learning.

● Encourage participants to adopt responsible and compliant road-user behaviour.

3. School, Community & Institutional Engagement

● Conduct road safety sessions in schools, colleges, communities, institutions, workplaces, and other identified locations.

● Coordinate with teachers, school authorities, community representatives, institutional heads,



and other stakeholders for training activities.

● Support awareness campaigns, road safety events, workshops, rallies, and community outreach initiatives.

● Build positive engagement with participants and local stakeholders during field activities.

4. Training Planning & Delivery

● Plan training sessions in coordination with the project team and field stakeholders.

● Prepare training materials, session plans, demonstrations, and other required resources.

● Ensure training sessions are conducted as per approved curriculum, timelines, and programme guidelines.

● Maintain discipline, participation, and engagement throughout training sessions.

● Ensure effective use of audio-visual and other training aids wherever required.

5. Assessments & Participant Tracking

● Support pre-training and post-training assessments to measure participant understanding and learning outcomes.

● Administer questionnaires, knowledge checks, feedback forms, and other assessment tools.

● Maintain accurate participant attendance, training records, assessment data, and supporting documentation.

● Track participant engagement and provide relevant inputs to the project team.

6. Field Monitoring & Feedback

● Undertake field visits to support programme implementation and assess the effectiveness of training activities.

● Collect feedback from participants, teachers, community members, and other stakeholders.





● Identify challenges, knowledge gaps, and implementation issues during field activities.

● Share field-level observations and recommendations with the reporting manager for programme improvement.

● Support the project team in refining training approaches based on field-level learning.

7. Documentation & Reporting

● Maintain daily and periodic training reports.

● Prepare session-wise records including participant details, attendance, activities conducted, and assessment outcomes.

● Maintain photographs, feedback forms, assessment records, and other programme documentation as required.

● Provide timely inputs for MIS, project reports, dashboards, and donor/client reporting.

● Ensure all field documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within timelines.

Required Qualifications & Experience

● Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Road Safety, Traffic Management, or a related discipline.

● 2–4 years of relevant experience in training, road safety awareness, behavioural change, community engagement, education, CSR, NGO, or social impact programmes.

● Prior experience conducting training sessions for schools, communities, institutions, drivers, or other target groups will be preferred.

● Knowledge of basic road safety principles, traffic rules, safe road-user practices, and behavioural reinforcement approaches.

● Candidates with experience in road safety campaigns, awareness programmes, training interventions, or community-based programmes will be preferred.

● Willingness to travel extensively for field-level training and programme activities.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
