Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and responsible Hospital Pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations and ensure the safe, accurate and timely dispensing of medicines to patients. The candidate should have good knowledge of medicines, strong attention to detail and a patient-friendly approach.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispense medicines accurately as per doctor prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for drug name, dosage, quantity, frequency and duration.
- Check for potential drug interactions, contraindications and allergies where applicable.
- Explain medication usage, dosage, precautions and storage instructions to patients.
- Maintain accurate records of medicines dispensed and pharmacy transactions.
- Monitor medicine stock levels, batch numbers and expiry dates.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines, including temperature-sensitive medicines.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff regarding medication requirements.
- Raise purchase/replenishment requests when stock levels are low.




- Minimize medicine wastage and expired-stock losses.
- Maintain pharmacy billing, invoices, registers and other required documentation.
- Follow hospital pharmacy procedures, applicable regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe pharmacy environment.
- Provide professional and courteous service to patients and attendants.

Requirements

- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Pharmacy Council registration is mandatory.
- Freshers and experienced candidates may apply.
- Good knowledge of medicines and dosage forms.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Responsible, professional and patient-friendly attitude.
