Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead and oversee the company's finance and accounting functions. The role will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting controls, taxation, statutory compliance, audit, cash-flow management, e-commerce financial reconciliation, MIS, budgeting, profitability analysis, and overall financial discipline.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of accounting, taxation, GST, TDS, financial reporting, audit, and compliance, along with solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in e-commerce, retail, consumer goods, or a fast-growing business environment will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance & Accounting

- Oversee the complete accounting and finance function of the organization.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Review sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, journals, provisions, accruals, and other accounting entries.
- Ensure proper maintenance and review of books of accounts.
- Review bank, vendor, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Establish and strengthen accounting controls and financial processes.
- Review accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure proper month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
- Monitor receivables, payables, working capital, and overall financial position.

2. E-commerce Finance & Reconciliation

- Oversee accounting and reconciliation of sales across various e-commerce platforms and marketplaces.
- Review marketplace sales, settlement statements, bank receipts, and accounting records.
- Monitor marketplace deductions such as commissions, logistics charges, payment gateway charges, discounts, returns, refunds, and other deductions.
- Identify revenue leakage, incorrect deductions, unreconciled balances, and settlement discrepancies.
- Monitor marketplace receivables and pending settlements.
- Develop and review regular e-commerce reconciliation and profitability reports.
- Coordinate with e-commerce and operations teams for resolution of financial and settlement-related issues.

3. MIS & Financial Reporting

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for management.
- Prepare and analyze:
- Sales reports
- Purchase reports
- Expense reports
- Receivable & payable reports
- Cash-flow reports
- Profitability reports
- Product/channel profitability
- Marketplace-wise profitability
- Prepare monthly P&L; and balance sheet analysis.
- Conduct budget vs. actual and variance analysis.
- Highlight key financial risks,



deviations, and improvement opportunities to management.
- Provide financial insights to support business and management decisions.

4. GST & Taxation

- Oversee GST compliance and ensure timely and accurate filing of applicable GST returns.
- Review GST workings, input tax credit, output GST liability, and GST ledgers.
- Ensure regular reconciliation between books, GST returns, and transaction data.
- Review GST reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle GST notices, assessments, queries, and related compliance matters.
- Ensure appropriate tax treatment of business transactions.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants wherever required.

5. TDS & Statutory Compliance

- Oversee TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and return filing.
- Review TDS workings and reconciliation of TDS ledgers with challans and returns.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
- Maintain statutory compliance calendars and records.
- Monitor changes in applicable tax and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants and authorities for notices, assessments, and queries.

6. Financial Statements & Audit

- Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure financial statements are accurate and prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards and requirements.
- Review schedules, supporting workings, and closing adjustments.
- Lead year-end closing and audit finalization.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax auditors, consultants, and other professional advisors.
- Prepare and review audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure books and financial records remain audit-ready throughout the year.
- Track and close audit observations and compliance points.

7. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow

- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with management.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets.
- Prepare cash-flow forecasts and monitor liquidity requirements.
- Monitor working capital and optimize receivables and payables.
- Identify opportunities for cost control and improvement in financial efficiency.




- Provide management with financial forecasts and scenario analysis where required.

8. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

- Develop, implement, and monitor financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Identify financial and operational control gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Improve accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance processes. Ensure appropriate documentation and approval mechanisms are followed.
- Reduce financial errors, leakage, and compliance risks.
- Introduce automation and process improvements wherever practical.

9. Management & Business Support

- Act as a finance business partner to management and other departments.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations for business decisions.
- Analyze profitability across products, channels, and e-commerce marketplaces.
- Support pricing, cost optimization, and business expansion decisions with financial inputs.
- Present key financial information and insights to management.
- Ensure finance works closely with e-commerce, operations, purchase, sales, and management teams.

Key Requirements

Education & Professional Qualification

- CA – Chartered Accountant (Mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Additional qualifications such as CMA, CS, or relevant financial certifications will be an advantage.

Experience & Skills

- 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Robust experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, taxation, audit, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in financial statements and month-end/year-end closing.
- Solid understanding of reconciliations and financial controls.
- Experience in MIS, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
- E-commerce, retail, consumer goods, or marketplace accounting experience will be preferred.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of financial and transaction data.

Technical Skills

- Strong working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
- Strong command over Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, SUMIFS, data analysis, and reconciliation.
- Good understanding of financial reporting and accounting systems.
- Ability to develop and improve MIS and financial reporting formats.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
