Roles and Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and administer enterprise backup and recovery services using Veritas NetBackup and Flex Appliance.
- Define backup policies, retention schedules, recovery procedures, and restore validation processes.
- Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and drive incident resolution to meet service levels.
- Support disaster recovery activities, backup audits, replication workflows, and data lifecycle management.
- Automate recurring backup operations and reporting using scripting, while maintaining SOPs and architecture documentation.

Skills Required:

- 7+ years of experience in enterprise backup engineering or infrastructure operations.




- Hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup administration, architecture, and enterprise backup operations.
- Solid understanding of backup and recovery, data protection, retention, replication, and deduplication concepts.
- Experience supporting production environments with high availability, SLA-driven operations, and performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of scripting for automation and integration with infrastructure platforms such as VMware.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Data Domain, NetBackup appliances, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or ServiceNow.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
