Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Civil Engineer with cross-disciplinary knowledge in civil, mechanical, and construction systems. In this entry-level role, you will bridge the gap between structural design, earthworks, mechanical services, and on-site construction. You will support engineering teams by utilizing advanced modeling software, calculating material quantities, and working with complex project coordinate systems.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and Modeling: Assist in drafting civil layouts, site grading, and corridor modeling using Civil 3D, as well as basic 3D mechanical and structural elements in Revit.

· Quantity Take-Offs: Perform detailed quantity take-offs (QTO) from construction blueprints, extracting materials, earthwork volumes, and component counts.

· Coordinate Systems: Establish and check building layouts, deep underground utilities, and heavy mechanical systems using precise global and project coordinates.

· Data and Estimating: Organize material quantities, asset lists, and technical engineering calculations cleanly using advanced Excel formulas and templates.

· Technical Specifications:



Review and cross-reference technical specifications for civil earthworks, structural concrete, and mechanical equipment installations.

· Documentation: Prepare professional technical reports, Request for Information (RFI) logs, and meeting minutes using structured Word documents.

Job Requirements

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.

· Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional experience (relevant internships, co-ops, or major academic design projects are accepted).

· Core Software: Foundational proficiency or structured training in Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit.

· Office Productivity: Solid skills in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, formulas, formatting) and Microsoft Word (document hierarchy, reporting).

· Technical Aptitude: A solid understanding of geometric coordinate data, material take-offs, and interpreting technical engineering specifications.

· Interdisciplinary Knowledge: Familiarity with standard civil layouts, earthworks, basic mechanical services (HVAC, piping), and general construction methods.
