Role Description The Academic Counselor is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting students in their educational and career development. Day-to-day tasks include providing individual and group counseling to help learners set academic goals, choose appropriate courses or programs, and overcome challenges affecting their progress. The role involves offering career counseling, guiding students on pathways, certifications, and skill development aligned with their interests and strengths. The Academic Counselor will collaborate with educational staff, maintain accurate advising records, and contribute to resources, workshops, and outreach initiatives that promote student success.



Regular communication through virtual meetings, email, and other digital platforms is essential to ensure timely support and follow-up.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to support diverse learners effectively.
- Candidates should possess clear and empathetic Communication skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills to help students explore options and plan realistic academic and skilled pathways.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Education principles and practices relevant to academic guidance and student development.
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; advanced certification or degree is an advantage.
- Experience working with students in academic or advising settings, preferably in remote or hybrid environments.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exercise sound judgment in student support.
- Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills, with proficiency in common digital communication and record-keeping tools.
