Medical Billing AR Specialist Position: Medical Billing AR Specialist Department: Medical Billing / RCM Experience: 1–3 years Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Mohali, Punjab Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing AR Specialist to manage accounts receivable, insurance follow-ups, denials, and outstanding claims. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of the US healthcare billing process and experience working with insurance payers.

Key Responsibilities - Review and analyze AR aging reports and prioritize outstanding claims.

- Perform regular insurance follow-up on unpaid, pending, and rejected claims.
- Verify claim status through payer portals and by calling insurance companies.
- Identify the reasons for claim denials, rejections, and underpayments.
- Take appropriate action to resolve outstanding claims and maximize collections.
- Correct and resubmit denied or rejected claims when required.
- Prepare and submit appeals with supporting documentation.
- Follow up on medical records and other documentation requested by payers.
- Identify billing errors, authorization issues, eligibility problems, and coding-related issues affecting payment.
- Maintain accurate notes and documentation for every claim follow-up.
- Work on aged AR, particularly 90+ and 120+ day accounts.




- Coordinate with the billing and payment posting teams to resolve account discrepancies.
- Prepare daily/weekly AR follow-up reports and provide updates on claim status.
- Meet assigned productivity, follow-up, and collection targets.

Required Skills - 1–3 years of experience in US Medical Billing / AR.

- Positive understanding of the US healthcare revenue cycle.
- Knowledge of insurance claim follow-up and denial management.
- Familiarity with payer portals and insurance websites.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, modifiers, EOB/ERA, and claim forms is preferred.
- Experience with medical billing software/EMR systems is a plus.

Preferred Experience Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, commercial payers, and managed-care plans is preferred.
