Role Overview





We're looking for an AI Automation Test Engineer with strong JavaScript and Java skills to build and maintain intelligent test automation across a range of products and teams. You'll pair solid automation fundamentals with emerging AI/ML-driven testing approaches to deliver scalable, reliable, and low-maintenance quality engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain end-to-end automation frameworks in JavaScript/TypeScript (Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Cucumber/BDD) and Java (Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit) across multiple products.
- Implement API automation (REST/GraphQL) using both JS and Java tooling (Supertest/Postman, RestAssured).
- Apply AI/ML-powered testing capabilities — self-healing locators, visual regression, and intelligent/risk-based test selection — and evaluate new AI testing tools for adoption.
- Use LLMs and AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, custom GPT/agent integrations) to accelerate test generation, test-data creation, and maintenance — with sound judgment on where they help and where they don't.
- Design test strategies for AI/LLM-powered product features — handling non-determinism, building eval-style assertions, and validating quality and guardrails.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD test pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps) and containerized test execution (Docker).
- Investigate failures to root cause, drive down flaky tests, and keep suites reliable and trustworthy.
- Write clean, maintainable test code following established patterns (Page Object Model, centralized locators, data-driven design).




- Collaborate with developers and product managers to embed quality throughout the SDLC and shift testing left.

Job Requirement

Required Qualifications

- 5 years in software test automation, with strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Java experience.
- Proficiency with modern JS automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO), Selenium WebDriver with Java, and BDD frameworks (Cucumber or similar).
- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks from the ground up in Java with TestNG or JUnit — not just writing scripts against an existing one.
- Solid API testing skills (REST/GraphQL; Postman, Supertest, RestAssured, or similar).
- Hands-on use of AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.) in real engineering work, plus a working understanding of AI concepts — prompt engineering, using LLM APIs, and integrating AI services into automation workflows.
- Exposure to applying AI/ML in testing: self-healing tests, visual AI validation, or LLM-based test generation.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket), and basic Docker usage.
- Strong debugging/root-cause mindset and a good grasp of testing methodologies and design patterns.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills; comfortable working across multiple projects and teams.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

- Experience with commercial AI testing platforms (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Applitools, Functionize).
- Exposure to performance testing (k6, JMeter, Gatling).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and parallel/containerized test execution at scale.
- Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and reporting tooling (Allure).
- Accessibility testing (axe-core) or visual-regression tooling (Percy).
- Contributions to open-source testing tools.
- Relevant certifications (ISTQB, cloud, or AI/ML credentials).
