Description
Overview The Associate Developer is supposed to work along with developer and senior developers in the team. The person should be keen to learn and work with some of the latest technologies in web application development. Builds software using the appropriate toolsets, following the software lifecycle and the development procedures. Develops software to system specifications; Test programs as per system specification; Delivery of quality software to agreed timescales
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus
- Supporting the senior members in the delivery of the project with his/her technical expertise.
- Contribution to the project with his/her skills and resolving any blockers.
- Analyse and document the technical solutions.
- To strive for continuous improvement of both technical and business knowledge.
Operational Management
- Responsible to develop, quick to market, high quality IT solutions within an agile environment.
- Generate innovative solutions to problems and seeks ways to improve business services and processes.
- Work with other team members alongside systems analysts, testers and delivery managers to deliver quality software.
- Write code and unit tests to specification.
- Perform triage of defects and track them through to technical resolution.
- Participate in daily stand ups.
- Own the code management in the team and ensure effective use of source control systems.
- Work with DevOps to ensure continuous deployment processes are achieved.

- Reviewing at the coding standards to comply with Infosec principles.
- Ensure all assigned work is delivered within agreed timeframes and quality parameters, in accordance with stakeholder expectations.

Experience & Personal Attributes Experience
- 1-2 years’ experience in IT.
- At least 1 year of programming experience using Java 8/11 Core Java or any other Object-Oriented Programming language.
- Basic experience with Web services, Rest, Springboot, Hibernate and Microservices.
- Some hands-on experience of working with SQL/Oracle databases.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Excellent work ethic, dependable and responsible team player and highly collaborative.
- Logical and creative problem-solving skills and positive analytical skills.
- General understanding of infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines and the willingness to learn more.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, Azure DevOps.
