Role OverviewAs a Structural Revit Drafter at Vir Structural, you will focus strictly on technical 3D modeling and 2D drafting in Autodesk Revit. Working directly with structural engineers, you will convert structural redlines, calculations, and design sketches into complete, high-quality structural drawing sets—from foundation plans to detailed connections.

Key Responsibilities

- Revit Modeling & Drafting: Build clear, highly accurate 3D structural models and create complete 2D construction drawing sets (foundation plans, framing plans, elevations, sections, and structural details) using Autodesk Revit.
- Structural Material Detailing: Draft and model structural assemblies, with an emphasis on timber/wood framing and structural steel detailing.
- Engineer Redlines: Accurately translate structural engineer markups, hand sketches, and design notes into clean, production-ready sheets.
- Revit Family & Library Setup: Create and maintain custom Revit families, parameter standards, annotations, and project templates tailored to structural detailing.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough self-checks on all drawing sheets for dimensional accuracy, callout alignment, and drafting consistency before final submittal.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education:



B.Tech or M.Tech in Civil Engineering (or Structural Engineering).
- Mastery of Revit: Exceptional, hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure is mandatory.
- US Experience (Plus Point): Prior experience working with or for a US-based structural engineering firm is strongly preferred.
- Material Experience (Bonus): Direct background in drafting or modeling timber/wood framing or structural steel systems.
- Drafting Conventions: Robust command of structural drawing standards, connection details, framing layouts, sectioning, and structural callouts.
- Software Tools: Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu for document markup and drafting support.
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on structural drafting experience using Revit in a professional engineering environment.
