Role Overview

We are looking for a Data QA Tester with robust fundamentals in ETL, Data Warehousing, and BI testing. The role focuses on executing data validation, ensuring data quality, and supporting automation and cloud-based testing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in Data / ETL / BI Testing
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL (mandatory)
- Good understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing concepts
- Exposure to BI testing (Power BI / Tableau)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)

Core Responsibilities

- Understand business requirements, data models, and mappings
- Create and execute test cases for ETL and data pipelines
- Perform data validation using SQL queries
- Validate BI reports and dashboards against source data
- Perform data reconciliation between source and target systems
- Test data across structured and semi-structured formats
- Identify, log, and track defects; support resolution with dev teams
- Participate in SIT cycles and testing activities
- Support automation initiatives (Python or tools) where applicable

Skills & Expertise

- Strong in:
- SQL querying and data validation
- ETL & Data Warehousing concepts (Facts, Dimensions, Schemas)
- Working knowledge of:
- Data integration across multiple systems
- Basic cloud data environments
- Exposure to:
- Python (for validation or basic automation support)
- Modern platforms (Databricks / Snowflake / BigQuery / MS Fabric – awareness level)
- Good analytical and communication skills

JD – Lead Engineer Role (QA Data Tester / BI Tester | 6–9 Years)

Role Overview





We are looking for a Lead QA Tester who can independently handle complex data testing scenarios, contribute to test strategy, and drive quality across ETL pipelines, data platforms, and BI systems. This role requires strong SQL expertise, deeper system understanding, and proactive problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in Data / ETL / BI Testing
- Strong expertise in SQL and data validation techniques
- Strong hands-on experience in ETL and Data Warehousing
- Experience in BI testing (Power BI / Tableau)
- Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
- Hands-on exposure to data automation (Python)
- Experience in test planning and test strategy contribution

Core Responsibilities

- Analyze complex data models, mappings, and transformations
- Design and execute end-to-end data testing scenarios (SIT/UAT)
- Perform advanced data validation and reconciliation using SQL
- Validate BI reports with complex business logic
- Handle data validation across:
- Structured
- Semi-structured (JSON, XML, Parqet)
- Unstructured data (basic understanding)
- Identify data issues, perform root cause analysis, and suggest fixes
- Contribute to test strategy, test planning, and estimation
- Guide team members on testing approach and best practices
- Work closely with business, dev, and data engineering teams

Skills & Expertise

- Strong expertise in:
- ETL Testing & Data Warehousing concepts
- Complex SQL (joins, aggregations, performance-aware queries)
- BI report validation
- Hands-on experience in:
- Python for data validation / automation (writing reusable scripts)
- Good exposure to:
- Data platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, MS Fabric
- Cloud ecosystems: Azure / AWS / GCP
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
