Role: Store Executive / Manager

Location: Thoraipakkam, Chennai

Key Responsibilities:
Material Management
Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, ensuring they match purchase orders and delivery challans.
Organize and maintain materials in a protected and accessible manner.
Issue materials to site engineers, subcontractors, and workers as per approved requisitions.
Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) system for material consumption.
Inventory Control
Maintain daily records of receipts and issues in material registers or ERP software.
Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile with physical inventory.
Identify and report slow-moving, non-moving, or damaged materials.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports and submit them to the Project Manager and Head Office.
Maintain accurate records such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), Issue Slips, and Return Notes.
Assist in internal and external audits related to store operations.




Coordination
Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material replenishment.
Liaise with vendors, transporters, and site teams for smooth material flow.
Support site engineers in identifying material requirements.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure proper storage of hazardous or perishable materials.
Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the store area.
Comply with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.
Education: Diploma or Graduate (preferably in Civil / Material Management / Supply Chain).
Experience:6 to 12 years in construction store operations/other store operations.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of construction materials and inventory systems
Computer proficiency (Excel, ERP preferred)
Solid record-keeping and organizational skills
Ability to manage manpower and coordinate with multiple teams
