Role & responsibilities
Primary focus area for this position will be Ground Mount PV area
The Project Development Manager will own the end-to-end development of large solar projects from opportunity identification through land readiness, statutory approvals, grid connectivity, PPA execution and financial closure, followed by a structured handover to the Project Construction teams.

Key Aspects
Identify and evaluate solar project opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Drive land identification, landowner negotiations, title/legal due diligence, surveys, lease/purchase documentation and land readiness.
Coordinate grid connectivity, evacuation and related applications with DISCOM, STU, SLDC and other utilities.
Coordinate statutory and regulatory approvals, including land/revenue, electrical, CEIG, Open Access and other project-specific permissions.
Identify and evaluate potential power off-takers and coordinate PPA negotiations and execution.
Coordinate Open Access, wheeling, banking and related agreements and approvals.
Prepare and maintain project financial models and development budgets in coordination with Finance.
Coordinate with banks, NBFCs, investors and lenders and drive the project towards financial closure.
Maintain project schedules, approval trackers, risk registers and weekly/monthly MIS.
Prepare a complete Project Development Dossier and hand over construction-ready projects to the Project Construction Manager.
Coordinate with landowners, customers, consultants, government departments,



utilities, lenders and internal teams.

Preferred candidate profile
8-12 years of relevant experience in renewable energy / solar project development.
Practical experience in utility-scale, C&I;, captive, group-captive or Open Access solar project development.
Hands-on experience in land acquisition/development, statutory approvals and utility coordination.
Understanding of grid connectivity, Open Access processes and PPA structures.
Exposure to project finance and financial closure.
Solid experience in Andhra Pradesh and/or Telangana.

Language requirement - Mandatory
Fluency in Telugu, including the ability to read and write Telugu is mandatory. The role involves extensive interaction with landowners, local stakeholders and government/utility offices in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Reporting
Will report to the Business & P&L; head
This post will be located in Vijayawada or Hyderabad. Regular travel across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be required

Essentially required Skill set
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related engineering discipline. MBA/PGDM in Finance, Business Management or related field is an advantage.
