Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Linux Engineer with strong expertise in Embedded Linux development and validation for Telematics Control Units (TCU). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and validating Linux-based automotive software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality connected vehicle features.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain Linux-based software for automotive platforms.
- Work on TCU software components, including connectivity, networking, diagnostics, and telematics services.
- Configure, build, and optimize Embedded Linux distributions (Yocto, Buildroot, etc.).
- Perform system integration, debugging, and performance optimization on automotive hardware.
- Develop and validate device drivers, middleware, and application software.
- Analyse and resolve issues related to boot-up, networking, memory, and system performance.
- Support software integration with vehicle ECUs and backend telematics services.
- Execute software validation, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with global teams, OEMs, and suppliers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality and development processes.

Required Skills

- Solid experience in Embedded Linux development.




- Good knowledge of Linux tools (Git, Shell Scripting, etc..).
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Experience with Linux Kernel, Device Drivers, BSP, and system-level debugging.
- Hands-on experience with Yocto, Buildroot, or Linux distribution customization.
- Hands-on experience with below networking protocols:
- TCP/IP, CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, SOME/IP, DoIP

- Experience with TCU functionalities such as Vehicle Connectivity, eCall, OTA Updates, Remote Diagnostics, Telematics Services
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols and diagnostic tools.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in TCU product development and validation.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR integration.
- Experience with 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, and modem technologies.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts in connected vehicles.
- Exposure to Automotive SPICE and functional safety processes.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to Have

- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Knowledge of cloud connectivity platforms and telematics backend integration.
- Exposure to CI/CD and automated testing frameworks.Role & responsibilities
