Job Description
IT Support Executive / System Administrator
Department: IT & Project Operations
Location: Pune (Work from Office)
Reporting To: IT & Project Operations Lead
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Executive / Junior System Administrator to manage the organization's day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in computer hardware, networking, software installation, IT asset management, user support, and system administration.
The person will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted IT operations across the office while maintaining proper documentation and IT best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Asset Management
- Maintain complete inventory of IT assets.
- Record issuance and return of laptops, desktops, accessories, and peripherals.
- Maintain asset lifecycle records.
- Label and track assets using Asset IDs.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of assets.
- Coordinate warranty and AMC records.
- Manage spare inventory.
2. Hardware Support
- Assemble and configure desktop computers.
- Diagnose and repair desktops and laptops.
- Replace hardware components including:
- RAM
- SSD/HDD
- Power Supply
- Motherboard
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Display
- Network cards
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Clean systems and improve performance.
- Coordinate with OEM service centers whenever required.
3. Software Installation & Configuration
- Install Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Install office applications and productivity software.
- Configure email accounts.
- Install printers and scanners.
- Install licensed software.
- Configure antivirus and endpoint security.
- Perform system updates and driver installations.
- Maintain software license records.
4. User Support (Helpdesk)
- Provide first-level IT support to employees.
- Resolve hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot:
- Printer issues
- Internet issues
- Email issues
- Login issues
- Application errors
- Handle employee onboarding and IT setup.
- Handle employee exit IT activities.
5. Network Administration
- Monitor LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Configure routers and switches.
- Troubleshoot network issues.
- Manage IP allocation.
- Coordinate ISP support.
- Basic firewall administration.
- Patch network ports.
- Maintain structured cabling records.
6. System Administration
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Password reset and account management.
- Shared folder permission management.
- NAS/Server access management.
- Backup monitoring.
- System health monitoring.
- Maintain Active Directory (preferred).
7. Peripheral Management
- Printer installation and troubleshooting.
- Scanner configuration.
- CCTV basic troubleshooting.
- Conference room AV setup.
- Biometric device support.
- Display and TV installations.
8. Documentation
Maintain updated documentation for:
- Asset Register
- Software Register
- Warranty Register
- Vendor List
- AMC Records
- License Records
- User Allocation Register
- Network Diagram
- IP Address Register
- Service Reports
- IT SOPs
9. Preventive Maintenance
- Monthly system health checks.
- Disk cleanup.
- Antivirus updates.
- OS patching.
- Hardware inspection.
- UPS health check.
- Backup verification.
- Network device health check.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on rather than purely theoreticala person who enjoys fixing systems, organizing IT assets, supporting users, maintaining documentation, and taking ownership of day-to-day IT operations. The candidate should be reliable, eager to learn, and capable of independently managing routine IT infrastructure while escalating complex issues when necessary.
This role will serve as the first point of contact for all office IT operations and work closely with the IT & Project Operations Lead to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient technology operations across the organization.
