Job Description Accountant (Solar / Infrastructure EPC)

Position Title: Accountant Solar / Infrastructure Projects

Hyderabad / Site & Office Coordination

Qualification:

B.Com / M.Com

CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred (not mandatory)

Role Objective

To manage day-to-day accounting, project-wise cost tracking, GST compliance, vendor payments, and basic banking coordination for solar and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain books of accounts in Tally / ERP (project-wise)

Daily entry of:

Purchase bills

Sales invoices

Expense vouchers

Journal entries

Bank book, cash book, and ledger maintenance

Monthly closing of accounts

2. Project & Cost Accounting (Very Important)

Project-wise cost tracking (material, labour, transport, site expenses)

Reconciliation of:

Site expense statements vs books

BOQ vs actual spend

Monitor cost overruns and flag deviations

Support management with project profitability reports

3. Vendor & Payment Management

Vendor bill verification with Purchase / Projects team

Payment scheduling and follow-up

Vendor ledger reconciliation

Tracking advance payments and material deliveries

4. GST & Statutory Compliance

GST returns:

GSTR-1

GSTR-3B

GSTR-2B reconciliation

GST compliance for:

Solar EPC contracts

Works contracts





Material supply + installation

TDS:

Contractors

Professionals

Support audits and statutory filings

5. Banking & Finance Coordination

Bank reconciliation statements (BRS)

Support documentation for:

Working capital

Bank limits

BG / LC related paperwork

Coordinate with bankers, auditors, and consultants as required

6. Payroll & Internal Controls

Payroll processing coordination

Expense claim verification

Maintain basic internal financial controls

Support management in improving financial discipline

Software & Tools

Tally Prime / Tally ERP

MS Excel (must be strong VLOOKUP / Pivot preferred)

Basic knowledge of Google Sheets

ERP exposure is an advantage

Industry Exposure Preferred

Solar EPC

Infrastructure / Civil / Electrical contracting

Government & PSU project accounting (advantage)
