Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company's technology vision, engineering strategy, technical operations, and innovation initiatives.

The CTO will be responsible for building and scaling high-performing engineering teams, defining technology architecture and standards, overseeing software delivery and cloud infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity, and ensuring that technology investments are aligned with the company's business objectives.

The ideal candidate should combine strong technical depth with business leadership, with experience managing complex software projects, cloud platforms, engineering teams, client-facing technology engagements, and enterprise-scale systems.

Preferred candidate profile

Technology Strategy & Leadership

- Define and execute the company's short-term and long-term technology strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with the Founder/CEO and leadership team on technology investments, product strategy, digital transformation, and organizational growth.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve business efficiency, service offerings, and competitive positioning.
- Establish engineering standards, architecture principles, development methodologies, and technology governance.
- Build a technology roadmap supporting scalability, security, reliability, and future business expansion.

Engineering & Software Delivery

- Provide leadership across software engineering, architecture, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, QA, and related technology functions.
- Oversee the architecture and delivery of web, mobile, cloud, SaaS, eCommerce, and enterprise applications.
- Ensure projects are delivered with appropriate standards for quality, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Establish effective code review, testing, CI/CD, release management, and deployment practices.
- Review critical technical designs and guide teams in resolving complex architecture and production challenges.
- Drive modernization of legacy systems and adoption of appropriate modern technologies.

Cloud, DevOps & Infrastructure

- Define the company's cloud and infrastructure strategy across platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Oversee cloud architecture, Kubernetes/container environments, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Establish high availability, backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery standards.
- Optimize infrastructure performance and cloud expenditure while maintaining reliability and scalability.
- Promote Infrastructure as Code and automation using technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management





- Establish and continuously improve the organization's cybersecurity framework.
- Ensure appropriate controls for application security, infrastructure security, identity and access management, data protection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Implement security practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Oversee technology risk assessments, security audits, penetration testing, backup policies, and disaster recovery exercises.
- Support compliance with applicable security, privacy, and client requirements.

AI, Automation & Innovation

- Develop a practical strategy for adopting Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, automation, and data-driven technologies.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate AI into internal operations, software development, client solutions, and products.
- Evaluate new frameworks, platforms, tools, and technologies based on measurable business value rather than technology trends alone.
- Encourage experimentation and innovation while maintaining appropriate security and governance.

Team Building & Engineering Culture

- Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain high-performing technology leaders and engineering professionals.
- Establish clear organizational structures, responsibilities, career paths, and performance expectations across technology teams.
- Mentor Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, DevOps Engineers, and senior developers.
- Build a culture focused on ownership, engineering excellence, continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability.
- Conduct technical leadership reviews and identify skill gaps and training requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Participate in technical discussions with clients, prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into appropriate technical solutions and architecture.
- Support pre-sales activities including solution architecture, technical estimations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and technical presentations.
- Provide executive-level communication for critical projects, technical risks, security incidents, and technology transformation initiatives.
- Build confidence with enterprise clients through strong technical governance and delivery practices.

Technology Governance & KPIs

- Establish measurable KPIs for engineering productivity, software quality, infrastructure reliability, security, project delivery, and technology costs.




- Monitor areas such as deployment frequency, production incidents, system availability, defect rates, security vulnerabilities, infrastructure expenditure, and delivery predictability.
- Conduct periodic architecture, security, infrastructure, and engineering reviews.
- Establish appropriate documentation and knowledge-management practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of overall technology experience, with significant experience in senior engineering or technology leadership positions.
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams, technical leaders, architects, or technology departments.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, microservices, databases, distributed systems, and enterprise application development.
- Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, observability, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of modern frontend and backend technology ecosystems such as React/Next.js, Node.js, PHP/Laravel, .NET, Java, Python, or comparable technologies.
- Robust understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, caching, messaging, and search technologies.
- Solid knowledge of cybersecurity, secure application development, infrastructure security, and data protection.
- Experience managing large-scale software projects and multiple engineering teams simultaneously.
- Experience with client-facing technical consulting, solution architecture, or technology services is highly desirable.
