To supervise Instrument Commissioning Technicians in the function testing of project Instrumentation systems, in accordance with project technical procedures.
Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, drawings etc.
Trouble shooting knowledge.
Good understanding/communicable English & writing skills.
Responsible to carry out ICS/PLC/HMI and instruments supervision activities of installed instruments/equipment/control system.
Hands on experience on different communication protocol such as Modbus, Profibus, Control net, Device net, Profinet, Serial communications etc.
Through knowledge of operating the Plant in various modes such as Auto/Semi-Auto/Manual/Local mode, assist operations on the same.
Knowledge on the Instruments working principle / Operation / Maintenance & minimizing the installation/operational errors.
Assisting/Coordinating with Electrical team on Operation & Configuration of VFD & Soft starter.
Hands on experience in analysing / reviewing the plant schematics, P&IDs;, Control drawing (incl. standalone system) of plant installed equipment’s on Operation & Maintenance perspective.
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Communicate effectively and work with the contractors/other team.
Computer skills and Good knowledge/experience in following:
System and sub-system scoping for Automation / DCS.
Commissioning procedures
System testing procedures
DCS FAT coordination & DCS SAT coordination
Functional Loop checks of system Automation.

Facilitate test equipment calibration and certification verification
Risk Management (system specific) and mitigations
Input to the Completions Management Systems (CAMS)
including review & approval of project specific ITRs. (Check Sheets).
Provide input into project plans and schedules, achievement of agreed schedule.
Ensure that the Instrument pre-commissioning and commissioning activities are properly organized, scheduled and conducted in a structured and secure manner, to test and certify that the installed equipment/systems, comply with the agreed performance parameters indicated in the design documents and specifications.
Report daily progress and work scope completion ensuring all issues, identified risks and concerns are clearly communicated and addressed
Leads daily execution kick off meetings and toolbox talks.
Assist coordination liaison for all interfaces on site and with all integrity groups to ensure the project requirements and performance standards are achieved.
Review Operational Test Procedures associated with the commissioning of instrument systems.
Fire & gas system, ICSS commissioning interface safety & controls Interface DCS / VESDA system.
Experience of ESD & F&G; cause and effect testing, oil & gas processing equipment and plants.
Provide input for the most effective use of vendors and assistance during CAMS population.
Provide assistance and guidance in the preparation of requisitions, technical specifications for materials, equipment and consumable required to perform the commissioning scope of work.
Participate in the hand over acceptance of systems / or sub-systems with the Mechanical Completion and Operations group.
Must have practical hands-on field experience during all stages of project life construction, commissioning & start up, and be able to communicate with team leaders of a multi-discipline team.
Be a team player who can provide valuable input during both planning and execution phase.
