1. IT Procurement Strategy & Governance

- Define and drive IT procurement strategy aligned with business and technology roadmap
- Establish standardized procurement processes, policies, and approval frameworks
- Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and audit requirements

2. End-to-End Procurement Management

- Manage procurement lifecycle:
- Requirement validation RFQ/RFP Vendor evaluation Negotiation Contracting PO release

- Handle procurement across:

- Hardware (POS, servers, network devices, warehouse tech)
- Software (SAP, SaaS platforms, enterprise tools)
- Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- IT services and implementation partners

3. Vendor Management & Negotiation

- Build and manage relationships with key OEMs and partners (SAP, Microsoft, OEMs, system integrators, etc.)
- Lead commercial negotiations to achieve best pricing, terms, and SLAs
- Drive vendor performance tracking and governance

4. Cost Optimization & Commercial Excellence

- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities:
- License optimization
- Vendor consolidation
- Strategic sourcing

- Benchmark pricing and ensure competitive commercial outcomes
- Drive TCO-based decision-making

5. Contract Management

- Own end-to-end contract lifecycle:
- Drafting, review, negotiation, and renewals

- Ensure contracts include strong commercial and legal safeguards
- Manage renewals proactively to avoid business disruption

6. Stakeholder Collaboration

- Work closely with:
- IT teams (infra, applications, security)




- Finance (budgeting, approvals, cost tracking)
- Legal (contracts and compliance)
- Business teams (stores, supply chain, etc.)

- Act as a trusted partnernot just a sourcing function

7. Procurement Planning & Budgeting

- Support annual IT budgeting and planning cycles
- Track procurement pipeline and ensure alignment with budgets
- Provide visibility on committed vs planned spends

8. Process Efficiency & Digitization

- Drive automation and digitization of procurement processes
- Improve turnaround time for procurement cycles
- Implement tools for tracking, approvals, and vendor management

Required Skills & Experience

Core Procurement Expertise

- Strong experience in IT procurement across hardware, software, and services
- Proven track record of handling large deals and complex negotiations
- Deep understanding of procurement lifecycle and vendor ecosystems

Technology Understanding

- Good understanding of:
- Enterprise applications (SAP, POS, etc.)
- Infrastructure and cloud platforms
- Software licensing models (subscription, SaaS, enterprise agreements)

Commercial & Financial Acumen

- Robust negotiation and commercial structuring skills
- Experience in cost analysis, benchmarking, and TCO evaluation
- Ability to work closely with finance on budgeting and cost control

Contracting & Compliance

- Experience in drafting and negotiating IT contracts
- Familiarity with legal, compliance, and audit requirements
