Role and Responsibilities :

1. Civil Design & Drawing Preparation

- Prepare and review civil design drawings, layouts, and structural details using AutoCAD / design tools
- Develop accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and technical specifications for civil works
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant IS codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare foundation designs, cable trench layouts, substation civil drawings, and site infrastructure plans for solar projects

2. Design Review & Coordination

- Review and validate vendor drawings, shop drawings, and structural submissions for technical accuracy
- Coordinate with project, execution, and procurement teams to ensure design intent is accurately implemented in office
- Support site engineers and project managers with technical clarifications and design modifications




- Conduct design reviews and engineering checks to identify and resolve conflicts at the design stage

3. Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain and manage design documentation, drawing registers, and revision records
- Ensure all design deliverables are submitted as per project timelines and client requirements
- Coordinate with consultants and third-party agencies for approvals, inspections, and statutory compliance
- Ensure designs adhere to MNRE guidelines, CEA regulations, and project specifications

4. Value Engineering & Optimization

- Assist in value engineering exercises to optimize design solutions without compromising quality or safety
- Identify opportunities to reduce material costs and improve design efficiency across civil works
- Provide periodic design MIS and status updates to project leadership
