Key Responsibilities

SCM Leadership Plant & Projects

- Lead the overall SCM function for Plant as well as Projects.
- Develop an integrated SCM strategy aligned with manufacturing and project requirements.
- Establish SCM processes, SOPs, controls and performance systems.
- Lead and develop the SCM/Purchase team across plant and project requirements.
- Ensure coordination between plant procurement and project procurement.

2. Plant Procurement

- Manage procurement requirements for plant operations and manufacturing.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, consumables, spares, electrical/mechanical items and other plant requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Engineering, Quality and Stores for material planning.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability.
- Develop alternate sources for critical materials.

3. Project Procurement

- Lead procurement for wind-energy projects across multiple locations.
- Manage project-wise material planning and procurement schedules.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of project-critical and long-lead materials.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Project Coordinator for site requirements.
- Monitor material movement from supplier to project site.

4. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development

- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans.
- Identify, evaluate and develop current suppliers.
- Build a strong and reliable vendor base for plant and project requirements.
- Conduct supplier evaluation and performance reviews.
- Develop alternate vendors for critical categories and materials.

5. Commercial & Cost Management

- Lead RFQ, quotation evaluation and commercial negotiations.
- Drive cost reduction and value-engineering initiatives.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.




- Ensure procurement is aligned with approved budgets and management requirements.

6. Material Planning & Inventory

- Develop material planning systems aligned with production and project schedules.
- Monitor critical material availability and shortages.
- Control inventory and working capital.
- Ensure proper coordination between Procurement, Stores and Operations.
- Track open POs and pending deliveries.

7. Logistics & Supply Chain

- Oversee logistics planning for plant and project requirements.
- Ensure timely movement of materials to project sites.
- Monitor dispatches, transit and delivery schedules.
- Resolve supply-chain bottlenecks and delivery issues.

8. Management & MIS

- Prepare regular SCM MIS for Senior Management / CMD.
- Track:
- Procurement status
- Material availability
- Open PO
- Pending deliveries
- Vendor performance
- Cost savings
- Inventory
- Critical/long-lead materials
- Project-wise procurement status

- Escalate critical supply-chain risks and delays.

Candidate Profile

- 1522 years of experience in Supply Chain / Procurement / Purchase / Materials Management.
- Strong experience in both Plant/Manufacturing and Project Procurement.
- Experience in Wind Energy / Renewable Energy / EPC / Heavy Engineering / Manufacturing preferred.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and vendor development.
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier-management skills.
- Experience managing multi-location project procurement.
- Strong understanding of inventory, logistics and material planning.
- Experience in leading and developing SCM teams.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to independently lead the complete SCM function.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
