Key Focus

We are looking to increase the coverage and value of Purchasing by hiring a Strategic Purchasing Manager based out of our Factory location at NSEZ, Noida who focuses on Indirect spends including Professional Services, as well as act as a SPOC for Direct spends procured globally.

Job Brief :

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing for Idemia Factory operations. The successful candidate will be able to develop category strategies as well as to perform strategic sourcing activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find suppliers that can generate value or efficiency. Category focus includes General services - Civil, Electrical, Turnkey projects, MRO, Engineering, Contingent Workforce and Qualified Services (Maintenance, Support, Integration, Telecom, Contractors...).

Significant Position Dimensions :

• Coordination with Business units, IT Corporate, Supply chain, Engineering, HR and Facility Admin teams for smooth, and cost effective operations of Factory and Business units.
• Interact with external suppliers and internal customers
• Commercial and strong contract negotiation skills
• Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships
• Effectively communicate with user departments and their functional heads such as IT, Engineering, HR, Legal and Admin & Quality.

Job Responsibility :

• Define, manage, and operate the category purchasing strategies and lead regional / local key sourcing initiatives




• Develop, implement, and manage cost savings projects
• Manage supplier base while proactively seeking and developing new suppliers that strategically fit with IDEMIA requirement and compliance
• Develop, implement purchasing reporting based on common KPIs

Organization Responsibility

Position demands extensive teamwork with IDEMIA contacts located on multiple sites across the World. Individual must be an effective communicator who can add value to the IDEMIA sourcing and supplier management. Individual must be proactive, innovative, and autonomous.

Education:

Bachelors degree in engineering /procurement / Material Management
Master of Business administration preferred.

Experience :

• Minimum 10-12 years' experience in Indirect Procurement categories under Complex Factory environment.
• Previous Purchasing experience in an international environment
• Commercial acumen
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, MS Outlook, e-sourcing, Presentations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Results oriented with ability to function in a multi-cultural team environment, experience in working in a remote/distributed workplace
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills
• Result oriented, ability to manage multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlines
• Fluent English, other language is a plus
