Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Handle enquiries from prospective students through calls, WhatsApp, email, and walk-ins.
- Understand students' educational background, interests, career goals, and learning requirements.
- Provide detailed information about courses, curriculum, duration, fees, career opportunities, and admission process.
- Recommend suitable courses/programs based on the student's requirements.
- Conduct one-to-one counselling sessions with students and parents.
- Follow up with leads regularly and maintain strong engagement throughout the admission process.
- Convert qualified enquiries into course admissions/enrolments.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, counselling sessions, and conversions in CRM/MIS.
- Achieve assigned counselling and enrolment targets.
- Coordinate with the academic and operations teams to ensure a smooth admission and onboarding process.
- Address student/parent queries and provide appropriate information or escalate when required.
- Participate in seminars, career guidance sessions, student engagement activities, and educational events when required.
- Maintain a professional relationship with students and parents throughout the admission journey.
- Prepare regular reports on lead status, follow-ups, and enrolments.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 13 years of experience in academic counselling, education counselling, admissions, inside sales, or student relationship management.




- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and counselling skills.
- Ability to understand student requirements and recommend suitable learning programs.
- Comfortable working with targets and follow-up activities.
- Good convincing, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in an EdTech, training institute, skill development, or education company.
- Experience handling student/parent counselling.
- Strong lead-conversion and follow-up skills.
- Kannada and English communication skills preferred; Hindi/Telugu/Tamil would be an added advantage.
- Energetic, approachable, and result-oriented personality.
