JOB DESCRIPTION: PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to oversee end-to-end purchasing operations, vendor development, and commercial negotiations at our Mumbai location. This role is critical to maintaining supply chain efficiency, driving cost optimizations, and supporting project delivery within our core operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Purchasing & PO Operations: Manage full-cycle procurement activities, from raising purchase requisitions to issuing purchase orders (POs) and tracking timely order fulfillment.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality vendors. Build long-term supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance metrics.
- Negotiation & Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed price comparisons, perform cost analyses, and execute sharp commercial negotiations to secure favorable payment terms and pricing.
- Reporting & Data Analytics: Maintain procurement MIS reports, analyze spending trends, and leverage Advanced Excel/Power BI to optimize sourcing strategies.




- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with inventory, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure optimal stock levels and smooth material flow. Coordinate import/export documentation where required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: 35 years of hands-on experience in procurement, purchasing operations, and vendor management.
- Industry Background: Preferred experience in Engineering, Electronics, Manufacturing, Defense, Marine, or Project-based organizations.
- Technical Proficiency:

- Advanced Excel skills (Mandatory)
- ERP system experience (Mandatory); hands-on SAP knowledge highly preferred
- Exposure to Power BI, MIS reporting, or AI-enabled procurement tools is a strong bonus

- Supply Chain Exposure: Familiarity with inventory management principles and basic import/export coordination processes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills, and explicit communication abilities.
