Role: SME / L3 NetApp Storage Engineer

NetApp & Storage Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience in NetApp Clustered ONTAP (C-DOT) o AFF (All Flash FAS) and FAS systems o ONTAP 9 platform

• Deep understanding of storage architecture (HA pairs, aggregates, volumes, SVMs) SAN Expertise (Primary Requirement)

• Strong expertise in SAN environments o LUN provisioning, zoning, masking, multipathing o Fabric design and optimization

• Hands-on experience with SAN switches o Brocade (preferred) o Cisco MDS

• Ability to troubleshoot SAN fabric issues, path failures, and latency problems NAS Expertise

• Good working knowledge of NAS protocols o SMB (CIFS) o NFS

• Troubleshooting file access, permissions, and performance issues

Troubleshooting & Operations

• Strong experience in deep-dive troubleshooting across SAN, NAS,



and host layers

• Ability to analyze latency, IOPS, throughput, and performance bottlenecks

• Troubleshoot replication, failover, and cluster-related issues

• Perform end-to-end issue isolation (storage, network, OS, application)

• Solid expertise in log analysis, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution Architecture & Design Expectations

• Strong understanding of enterprise storage architecture and best practices

• Experience in designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions

• Knowledge of SnapMirror, SnapVault, snapshots, and data protection strategies

• Exposure to capacity planning and performance tuning
