Job Summary

ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. is looking for an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman. The candidate will be responsible for preparing GA, fabrication and detailed manufacturing drawings for Pressure Vessels, and other process equipment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in AutoCAD 2D, fabrication drawings and heavy engineering/process equipment, with a good understanding of pressure vessel manufacturing and fabrication practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare General Arrangement (GA), fabrication and detailed manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD 2D.
- Prepare detailed drawings for Pressure Vessels, Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Columns, Reactors and other process equipment.
- Develop fabrication details for shells, heads, channels, tube sheets, nozzles, baffles, saddles, supports, flanges and internals.
- Prepare shop fabrication, assembly and component drawings for manufacturing.
- Prepare BOM, material lists and material take-offs as required.
- Review engineering inputs, drawings, specifications and customer requirements before preparing fabrication drawings.
- Incorporate customer comments, design changes and engineering revisions in drawings.
- Coordinate with Design, Projects, Production, Planning, QA/QC and Inspection teams for drawing-related requirements.
- Ensure drawings are prepared as per applicable ASME, TEMA, customer specifications and company standards.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions, records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.




- Provide technical clarification and drawing support to the shop/fabrication team during manufacturing.
- Ensure dimensional details, welding symbols, material specifications and fabrication requirements are correctly incorporated in drawings.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Hands-on experience in preparing fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience with Pressure Vessels / Heat Exchangers / Static Equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GA drawings and fabrication drawings.
- Valuable understanding of fabrication processes, welding symbols, machining requirements and dimensional details.
- Knowledge of BOM and material take-off preparation.
- Good coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII and TEMA standards.
- Experience with pressure vessel and heat exchanger fabrication.
- Exposure to Columns, Reactors, Boiler Drums or other process equipment.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawing practices.
- Exposure to SolidWorks / Inventor / AutoCAD Plant 3D will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to SAP/ERP systems will be an advantage.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Experience

4–9 years of relevant experience in Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, Static Equipment, Heavy Engineering, Boiler, Fabrication or EPC industries.

Candidates with hands-on experience in preparing fabrication/detail drawings for pressure vessels and heat exchangers will be preferred.
