Key responsibilities

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to oversee and maintain plant machinery, with a robust focus on CNC and VMC machines. You will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, minimizing unplanned downtime, implementing preventive maintenance schedules, and leading mechanical troubleshooting across the production facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. CNC VMC Machine Maintenance: Lead routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance for CNC (Turning/Milling) and VMC equipment, including spindles, ball screws, linear guides, hydraulic systems, and ATC (Automatic Tool Changers).
2. Plant Mechanical Maintenance: Oversee operational readiness for general plant utility equipment, including hydraulic presses, pneumatic systems, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and cooling towers.
3. Breakdown Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose complex mechanical failures, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4. Preventive Predictive Maintenance: Design, update, and enforce Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedules to optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
5. Spare Parts Management: Identify critical spare parts requirements for CNC/VMC machines, maintain optimal inventory levels, and coordinate with vendors for specialized component sourcing.
6. Team Leadership Safety: Supervise and train maintenance technicians,



ensuring strict compliance with industrial safety standards, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) protocols, and 5S principles.

Required Qualifications Skills

1. Education: Bachelor s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Experience: 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing plant maintenance, with at least 3+ years hands-on experience in CNC and VMC machine maintenance.
3. Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in CNC/VMC mechanics, machine tool geometry alignment (leveling and calibration), ball screw replacement, spindle servicing, and drive systems.
4. Hydraulics Pneumatics: Solid understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic circuit diagrams, valves, actuators, and central lubrication systems.
5. Maintenance Methodologies: Hands-on experience implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
6. Software Tools: Proficiency in reading engineering drawings/schematics; familiarity with CMMS, SAP/ERP maintenance modules, and AutoCAD.
7. Soft Managerial Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, ability to manage breakdown pressure, team leadership, and effective vendor coordination.
8. Safety Compliance: Thorough knowledge of industrial safety protocols, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), EHS guidelines, and 5S standards.
