Job Title:- Electrical Design Engineer - Switchgear (MV & LV)

Domain:-

- Switchgear & control panels, Power Transmission & Distribution, Electrical Equipment Manufacturing, Heavy Electrical Engineering, Renewable energy, Power & Energy Industry

Key Responsibilities:-

- Experience in Electrical design for MV/LV -HT/LT Panel/Switchgear/MCC/PCC
- Ability to analyse technical specifications and apply appropriate product solutions to meet customer expectations efficiently and timely.
- Prepare technical drawing packages (SLD, General Arrangement, Standard Schematics, EBOM), raise and resolve queries from the customer. Should have technical expertise in Switchgear/HT/LT Panel enclosure design to Educate, influence, convince customer.
- Good Understanding of Power Systems, Protection principles & relays, Induction Motor control and its Control schematics.
- Good knowledge about any one design tool and ability to learn any design tools within short span to execute & complete the task within time frame.
- Exposure to IEEE, ANSI and NEMA standards for MV/LV Switchgear/HT/LT Panel/MCC/PCC and ISO System is added advantage
- Ability to Collaborate and coordinate among various entities like Project Management team,



Purchase, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering and Vendors.
- Working with SEL Relays will be added advantage.
- Should have robust verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience:-

- Minimum of 05 - 13 years of experience in designing Switchgears, preferably in Low and Medium Voltage systems upto 33 KV.
- Strong knowledge of 3D modeling and AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
- Knowledge and experience with UL standards and support UL certification.
- Strong understanding of electrical and relevant testing codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).
- Knowledge of ANSI/IEEE standards related to MV switchgear and protection.
- Exposure to project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Awareness of Quality management systems and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple ETO projects simultaneously.
