Roles and Responsibilities

- Manage mainframe storage resources, including DASD, SMS, HSM, IDCAMS, and DFHSM.

- Ensure efficient use of storage capacity through effective allocation and optimization techniques.

- Perform regular monitoring and maintenance tasks to ensure high availability of storage systems.

- Troubleshoot issues related to storage performance, data integrity, and system failures.

- Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex technical problems.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 8-12 years of experience in mainframe storage administration with expertise in z/OS Storage Management (DASD,SMS,HSM).

- Solid knowledge of DFSMSdss (Data Facility Sharing Manager) for managing shared disk space.

- Proficiency in DFHSM (Data Facility High-Speed System Manager) for managing high-speed storage devices.

- Experience with storage replication technologies such as IDCAMS (Integrated Data Catalog Access Manager).

- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work independently.
