About this role : Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer

In this role, you will :

- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications :

- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications :

- Strong 10+ years hands-on experience with.NET /.NET Core, C#, Microservices architecture , RESTful services, and design patterns.

- Proficiency in React and Front-end engineering fundamentals (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).

- Experience with building scalable, distributed systems using modern architectural practices.

- Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting,



or backend service development (added advantage).

- Familiarity with Gen AI tools/techniques, machine learning workflows, or integrating AI-driven components (positive to have).

- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as:

- GitHub Copilot

- Claude (or similar AI coding tools)

- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.

- Experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

- Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to analyze complex issues and design effective solutions.

- Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.

Job Expectations :

- We are open for both the locations - Hyderabad or Bangalore and will be required to work in the office as per organizations In Office Adherence / Return To Office (RTO)
- Deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions aligned with business and technology roadmaps.
- Take ownership of assigned modules, components, and end-to-end delivery responsibilities.
- Perform code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and ensure best practices are consistently applied.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and solution blueprinting.
- Act as a mentor to junior team members,



providing technical guidance and support.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery-Product, QA, Architecture, and Infrastructure.
- Ensure timely completion of development, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
- Proactively identify technical debt, performance issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to the engineering landscape.
- Uphold Wells Fargo's risk, compliance, and security guidelines across all development activities.
