WSP India has a new opportunity for a Junior Mechanical (Piping) Designer to join our Process and Mine Infrastructure Design (PMID) team on a full-time basis in our Noida location.

Our services, in the core fields of underground mine backfill and dewatered mine tailings for surface disposal, include laboratory testing, conceptual studies through to detail design, engineering design, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and project management for diverse clients in local and global mining markets. Additionally, with our expanded service offering we perform design work for crushing / ore handling systems, mine dewatering, pipeline services, shaft design, fuel and lube station, ventilation, and other underground infrastructure.

- Drafting, and 3D modelling of mine infrastructure for the mechanical discipline group which involves:

- Design/drafting of equipment and plant layouts

- 3D modeling of process piping

- Piping layouts and isometrics

- P&IDs; and Process flow diagrams

- Ensuring models and drawings are in accordance with applicable standards

- Assist with performing conceptual, feasibility and detailed mechanical design work including equipment, and plant layouts

- Coordinating with other disciplines and other WSP groups

- Participating in WSP’s Health & Safety program

- Assisting with other project work as required

- College Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering

- Around 2 years of experience in a relevant field

- Experience with mining operations would be an asset

- Primary drafting software in use is AutoCAD and Plant3D and some knowledge with that software is required however proficiency with these other software packages will be considered an asset:

- Microsoft Office

- SolidWorks

- Inventor

- Revit

- Bentley AutoPLANT

- Civil3D

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
