JOB DESCRIPTION - Costing & Estimation Engineer

Experience required - 2 - 3 Years

Industry - Mechanical, Fabrication, Projects

Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects based on drawings, specifications, and scope.

Calculate material quantities, labor hours, equipment costs, and overheads.

Develop budget estimates and cost breakdown structures.

Analyze RFQs (Request for Quotation) from vendors and subcontractors.

Support the bid preparation process and ensure competitive pricing.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and cost risks.

Extract material quantities from engineering drawings.

Obtain quotations from suppliers.

Maintain cost databases for materials, labor, and equipment.

Track market price fluctuations.

Work with design, procurement, and project management teams.

Clarify technical scope and project requirements.

Assist project managers in budget planning and cost control.

REQUIREMENT - Bachelor of Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is the standard requirement.
