Position : Laboratory Technician Department : Pathology / Laboratory Reporting To : Operation Manager Location : Mumbai Naka, Nashik

Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic laboratory tests on patient samples such as blood, urine, and other body fluids. The role supports doctors in diagnosing diseases and monitoring treatment by ensuring accurate and timely laboratory results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sample Collection & Handling

- Collect blood and other biological samples from patients.
- Label, store, and transport specimens properly for testing.
- Ensure correct patient identification before sample collection.

- Laboratory Testing

- Perform routine laboratory tests such as:

- Hematology (CBC, ESR)
- Biochemistry tests
- Urine examination
- Blood grouping and cross-matching
- Microbiology tests
- Analyze samples using automated laboratory equipment.

1. Equipment Operation & Maintenance

- Operate laboratory instruments and analyzers.
- Perform calibration and routine maintenance of equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunction to the Lab Incharge.

- Documentation & Reporting





- Record test results accurately in laboratory records or software.
- Maintain patient reports and laboratory registers.
- Communicate critical results to doctors or nursing staff promptly.

- Quality & Safety Compliance

- Follow laboratory safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laboratory.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste disposal.

- Additional Responsibilities

- Assist doctors and nurses with diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain laboratory stock and reagents.
- Ensure timely delivery of laboratory reports.

Qualification

- DMLT / BMLT / BSc Medical Laboratory Technology :

- Relevant certification from a recognized institute.

Experience

Required Skills :

- Knowledge of pathology and laboratory procedures
- Ability to operate lab analyzers and instruments
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency samples

Job Type : Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
