Store Assistant - Plywood & Building Materials

Job Summary

The Store Assistant is responsible for supporting daily store operations in a plywood and wood-products showroom/warehouse. The role includes assisting customers, handling stock, maintaining displays, and ensuring smooth sales and inventory flow.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist customers with selection of plywood, laminates, boards, veneers, hardware, and related products
- Explain product specifications such as thickness, grade, size, and usage
- Handle billing, invoicing, and basic cash/UPI/card transactions (if applicable)
- Receive, unload, and arrange plywood sheets and materials safely
- Maintain accurate stock records and inform management about low inventory
- Keep the store, racks, and warehouse clean and organized
- Coordinate with delivery staff for loading and dispatch of materials
- Support showroom setup, displays, and sample arrangement




- Follow safety procedures while handling heavy materials

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum: 10th / 12th pass (higher education is a plus)
- Experience in plywood, hardware, or building materials store preferred
- Basic knowledge of plywood types and measurements (or willingness to learn)
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Basic math and billing knowledge
- Physically fit to handle lifting and moving materials

Work Location

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
