We are a UK-based group operating across estate agency, lettings, and mortgage services, currently managing 13 active trading businesses. We are seeking a highly experienced Accountant for a critical, two-phase role. This position begins with a comprehensive forensic-style audit across all group companies, eventually transitioning into a long-term, full-time finance role overseeing the group's on-going financial functions.

Key Responsibilities : Phase 1 : Forensic Audit

- Transaction Review : Conduct a detailed review of all financial transactions across 13 companies to verify legitimate business expenses.
- Anomaly Detection : Highlight inconsistencies, anomalies, or non-business-related expenditures.
- Historical Review : Assess historical bookkeeping accuracy and accounting treatments.
- Reporting : Provide a transparent audit summary report detailing findings and actionable recommendations.
- Intercompany Compliance : Review intercompany transactions and balances for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Phase 2 : On-going Finance Function (Post-Audit)

- Management Accounts :Prepare monthly P&L; statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for all group entities, providing commentary on performance and cost control.
- Strategic Insights :Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities for group improvement.
- Full-Cycle Bookkeeping : Maintain accurate financial records using Xero, ensuring correct coding and reconciliation of all bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts.
- UK Payroll : Process payroll in line with UK regulations, managing pensions, PAYE, and National Insurance contributions while ensuring HMRC compliance.
- Intercompany Management : Maintain, reconcile, and report on intercompany loan accounts to ensure visibility across all entities.





Key Requirements :

- UK Expertise :Proven experience in UK accounting practices is essential.
- Software Proficiency :Strong, essential experience with Xero.
- Audit Experience :Demonstrated background in forensic accounting or financial auditing.
- Complex Structures :Experience working with multi-entity group structures and a strong understanding of intercompany loans.

Compliance Knowledge :

- Deep understanding of UK payroll and HMRC requirements.
- Professional Mind-set : High attention to detail, an investigative mindset, and the ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Communication : Excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable Experience :

- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with UK-based SMEs, property groups, estate agents, or
- mortgage companies.

- Achieving full visibility and absolute confidence in the accuracy of financial data across the group.
- Maintaining clean, fully reconciled accounts for all 13 businesses.
- Establishing a clear reporting structure for effective management decision-making.
- Implementing robust systems for on-going financial control.

Working Hours :

- UK Business Hours : Standard working hours (Based on IST Time)

- Monday to Friday : 01:00 pm - 10:30 pm during Summer and 02:00 pm - 11:30 pm during Winters. :

- 5 Days Working. Weekend will be off.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
