Job Purpose

The cashier is responsible for handling customer billing, payments, and providing excellent service while maintaining accuracy, hygiene, and a pleasant shopping experience in the sweet shop.

Key Responsibilities: Billing & Payments

- Operate POS/billing software accurately
- Generate bills for sweets, snacks, bakery, and takeaway items
- Handle cash, UPI, card, and wallet payments
- Issue receipts and manage change correctly
- Verify daily cash balance and report discrepancies

Customer Service

- Greet customers politely with a smile
- Answer basic product and pricing queries
- Coordinate with counter staff for orders and packing
- Handle customer complaints calmly and escalate when needed
- Promote offers, combos, and festival specials

Sales Support

- Encourage add-on sales (sweets, dry fruits, gift boxes)
- Inform customers about recent products and seasonal items




- Support festive rush operations smoothly

Hygiene & Discipline

- Maintain cleanliness at the billing counter
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Wear proper uniform and maintain neat appearance

Reporting & Records

- Maintain daily sales reports
- Update transaction records properly
- Assist in stock coordination if required

Working Conditions

- Standing role for long hours
- Shift-based work, including weekends and festivals
- Fast-paced environment during peak hours
