Job Title : Assistant/Associate Professor - Fire & Safety Department : Fire & Safety / Engineering Location : NIILM University, Kaithal, Haryana

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

- Master’s Degree in Fire & Safety Engineering / Industrial Safety / Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline from a recognized university.
- Ph.D. in Fire & Safety / Safety Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 2 years + of teaching, research, or relevant industry experience in fire safety, occupational safety, or risk management.
- Robust academic record; publications in reputed journals will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Fire & Safety, Disaster Management, and Industrial Safety.
- Develop, update, and revise curriculum to align with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Train students in fire prevention, firefighting techniques, occupational safety, and emergency response.
- Guide research projects, dissertations, and case studies in safety management.
- Conduct safety drills, workshops, and practical demonstrations.
- Collaborate with industry for internships,



industrial visits, and applied research.
- Mentor students for professional and career growth.
- Participate in departmental and university committees and academic initiatives.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

- Expertise in Disaster Management, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Risk Assessment, or Occupational Safety. :

- Practical exposure in firefighting systems, hazard analysis, and safety audits.

- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, NFPA, OSHA will be an added advantage.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Ability to integrate real-world safety practices with academic teaching.

Pay Scale

₹30,000 - ₹80,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
