Safety Officer in HVAC projects

Location - Vellore

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies at HVAC project sites.
- Conduct daily safety inspections for HVAC installation activities such as ducting, piping, equipment installation, and testing.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like helmets, gloves, safety shoes, goggles, and harnesses.
- Identify hazards related to HVAC work (working at height, electrical connections, refrigerant handling, confined spaces).
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for technicians and workers before starting work.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare safety reports.
- Ensure safe lifting and rigging during installation of HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and ducts.
- Monitor work at height activities such as duct installation, piping, and ceiling work.




- Ensure fire safety measures when welding, brazing, or cutting HVAC pipes.
- Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation such as work permits, risk assessments, and safety checklists.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and management to improve safety performance.

Qualification Requirements

- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Safety Management.
- Safety certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
- 2 to 7 years’ experience in construction or HVAC project safety.

Job Types : Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
