Garment Technician ensures apparel designs are accurately translated into finished, high-quality products by managing fit, construction, specifications, and quality control from prototype to production. Key responsibilities include creating/amending patterns, conducting fit sessions, developing technical packs (tech packs), and collaborating with suppliers to ensure garments meet quality standards, fit requirements, and cost constraints. MATTER MAKERS MATTER MAKERS +4 Key Responsibilities Pattern Development & Grading: Creating, amending, and grading patterns (using CAD or manual methods) to ensure accurate sizing. Fit Session Management: Conducting, documenting, and implementing feedback on fit samples (toiles) to correct fit issues before bulk production. Technical Documentation (Tech Packs): Developing and maintaining tech packs with detailed specifications, including measurement charts, construction methods, and bill of materials (BOM). Quality Control: Inspecting fabric, trims, and finished garments to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety standards. Production Coordination:



Communicating with manufacturers regarding construction techniques, cost-effective solutions, and production deadlines. Troubleshooting: Solving technical problems related to sewing, stitching, washing, or finishing. Key Skills and Requirements Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, fabric properties, and pattern cutting. Software Skills: Proficiency in CAD systems (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Optitex) and Microsoft Office/Excel. Measurement Accuracy: High precision in taking, interpreting, and grading measurements. Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical specifications to suppliers and designers. Typical Qualifications A degree or diploma in Fashion Technology, Clothing Technology, or Pattern Making. Experience in a similar technical role, particularly in a manufacturing or buying office workplace.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
