Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics) to students in Grades 6-10 as per the prescribed curriculum

- Plan and deliver engaging, concept-based lessons using maps, case studies, timelines, and discussions

- Develop students’ analytical, interpretive, and critical thinking skills :

- Integrate current events, projects, and activities into lessons where appropriate

- Assess student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and presentations

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic progress

- Prepare students for school examinations and board-related assessments :

- Encourage inquiry, discussion, and respectful debate in the classroom

- Collaborate with other teachers and the academic team for planning and curriculum alignment

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and areas of improvement

- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events

- Uphold classroom discipline and create an inclusive, respectful learning setting

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor’s degree in History / Geography / Political Science / Economics / Social Science :

- B.Ed. (mandatory as per school norms)

- Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience at middle or secondary level

- Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and assessment patterns

Skills & Competencies

- Ability to explain complex social and historical concepts clearly
- Proficiency in map work, source-based questions, and project-based learning
- Good classroom management and student engagement skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to integrate technology and teaching aids into lessons

Desirable Qualities

- Interest in current affairs and global issues :

- Ability to connect syllabus topics with real-life examples

- Student-centered, inquiry-driven teaching approach

Reporting To : Head of Department / Academic Coordinator

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
