Role Overview

As the PE Teacher for Grades 11 and 12, you will be responsible for delivering both the theoretical and practical components of the CBSE Physical Education curriculum. You will not only train students in various sports and fitness routines but also prepare them for their board examinations, cultivate leadership skills, and coach school teams for inter-school, state, and national-level competitions.

Key Responsibilities

- Curriculum Delivery : Instruct Grades 11 and 12 in the theoretical concepts of Physical Education (anatomy, physiology, sports psychology, and biomechanics) in alignment with the CBSE syllabus.
- Practical Training & Assessment : Conduct practical sessions, oversee the completion of practical files, and conduct internal and external board practical assessments.
- Sports Coaching : Train and mentor school sports teams (e.g., Basketball, Football, Cricket, Athletics,) for district, state, and national tournaments.
- Event Coordination : Plan, organize, and execute the Annual Sports Meet, inter-house sports competitions, and other health and wellness events at the school.
- Student Well-being :



Promote a culture of lifelong fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students. Provide guidance on nutrition, fitness regimens, and injury prevention.
- Facility & Equipment Management : Ensure all sports equipment and facilities are safely maintained, regularly inspected, and properly stored.
- Administrative Duties : Maintain accurate records of student attendance, physical fitness assessments, and grading.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education : Master’s Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) or Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) from a recognized university.

- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience teaching Physical Education, with specific experience handling Grades 11 and 12 CBSE curriculum.

- Key Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of CBSE PE board exam requirements and evaluation patterns.

- Excellent communication, motivational, and classrooM/Field management skills.

- High personal fitness standards and a passion for youth mentorship.

- Ability to communicate effectively in English (knowledge of Kannada/Hindi is an asset).
