Position : English Vocals & Guitar Teacher Department : Performing Arts / Music Reports To : Principal / Activity Coordinator / Vice Principal Location : Sanskriti School, Bhukum, Pune

Position Overview

The English Vocals & Guitar Teacher will be responsible for training students in English singing and guitar playing, nurturing their musical talent, and developing their confidence in performing arts. The teacher will conduct structured music classes, guide students in vocal techniques and guitar skills, and prepare them for school performances, competitions, and cultural programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Training

- Teach English vocal music and guitar to students across primary, middle, and secondary grades.
- Train students in vocal techniques including pitch, rhythm, breathing, and voice modulation.
- Teach basic to intermediate guitar skills including chords, strumming patterns, and rhythm.
- Introduce students to various genres of English music such as pop, folk, and contemporary.
- Prepare lesson plans and structured practice sessions for students.

2. Student Development

- Identify and nurture musical talent among students.
- Encourage creativity, stage confidence, and musical expression.
- Provide individual guidance and support to students with varying skill levels.

3. School Performances & Events

- Train students for school assemblies, annual day, competitions, and cultural programs.
- Form and guide school bands, choirs, or music groups where required.
- Coordinate music performances for inter-school events and competitions.

4. Classroom & Equipment Management

- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment during music classes.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of musical instruments such as guitars, microphones,



and sound equipment.
- Manage music resources, sheet music, and practice materials.

5. Administrative Responsibilities

- Maintain attendance and progress records of students.
- Collaborate with teachers and coordinators for planning cultural and co-curricular activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.

6. Professional Development

- Stay updated with current music trends, vocal training techniques, and guitar teaching methods.
- Participate in workshops and training programs related to music education.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Music (Vocal / Instrumental).
- Certification or formal training in Guitar preferred.
- Additional training in Western music or vocals is an advantage.

Experience

- 2-5 years of experience teaching English vocals and guitar in a school, music academy, or performing arts institution.
- Experience preparing students for stage performances is desirable.
