About Coinsell

Coinsell Technology Private Limited operates a regulated virtual digital asset platform in India. We are a reporting entity under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA) and are progressing FIU-IND VDASP registration. Legal and regulatory engagement is central to how we operate.

Role summary

Coinsell operates an AI-assisted compliance operation. This role focuses on judgment, drafting, and regulator-facing work, with routine monitoring and checks handled by automation and the wider Compliance team.

In-house corporate counsel based in New Delhi who owns FIU-IND liaison for Coinsell: prepare for and attend in-person FIU-IND meetings and visits as needed by the company, coordinate written responses with the Principal Officer / Compliance team and external counsel, and support corporate legal work tied to VDASP registration and ongoing PMLA obligations.

Key responsibilities

- Lead FIU-IND liaison from Delhi: schedule, prepare briefing packs, attend FIU-IND meetings in person as needed by the company, and capture follow-ups

- Draft and review regulatory correspondence, questionnaires, and submissions in coordination with Compliance and retained counsel

- Advise on corporate and commercial legal issues for a VDA reporting entity (contracts, vendor engagements, board papers, policies)





- Support PMLA / PML Rules and FIU-IND guideline readiness with the Compliance team

- Manage relationships with external law firms and track regulatory deadlines

- Flag legal and regulatory risk to the CEO promptly and in writing

Requirements

Required

- LL.B. / equivalent; enrolled with a State Bar Council in India

- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in corporate, financial-services, fintech, or regulatory practice (4-5 years preferred)

- Comfort dealing with Indian regulators; prior FIU-IND, RBI, SEBI, or similar liaison is a strong plus

- Based in Recent Delhi / NCR and able to attend FIU-IND meetings in person as needed by the company

- Clear written and spoken English; precise drafting

- Able to work with the CEO and a Compliance team that may sit outside Delhi

Nice to have

- VDA / crypto / payments regulatory experience

- Experience supporting a Principal Officer or Designated Director under PMLA

- Company secretary or dual CS/LL.B. background
