Amgen seeks a Level 4 Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data solutions that drive business decisions. The role involves developing ETL pipelines, managing large datasets, implementing data governance, and collaborating across teams to deliver scalable data infrastructure.
Design, develop, and maintain data solutions for generation, collection, and processing across systems
Build and manage data pipelines implementing ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality and reliability
Lead data pipeline projects from inception through deployment, managing scope and timelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, data architects, and business stakeholders to define requirements
Implement data security, privacy measures, and governance best practices using cloud platforms




Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 5-9 years experience
Hands-on expertise with big data platforms including Databricks, Apache Spark, and workflow orchestration
Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools with solid data analysis capabilities
Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, data protection regulations, and compliance requirements
Experience designing and implementing AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, vector search, and prompt engineering
Knowledge of Python/R, data modeling, data warehousing, and cloud data integration concepts
