Role & responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js, FastAPI (Python), and PHP
- Collaborate on microservice architecture, ensuring clean boundaries and maintainability
- Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, focusing on schema design, query optimization, and indexing
- Support real-time communication and data ingestion pipelines
- Contribute to event-driven systems and messaging workflows
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in production environments with guidance from senior engineers
- Participate in code reviews, learn best practices, and continuously improve coding standards
- Collaborate with product, DevOps, and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Preferred candidate profile

- 13 years of backend software engineering experience
- Comfortable with Node.js, Python (FastAPI), and PHP
- Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)




- MongoDB document modeling for semi-structured/telemetry data
- MQTT lightweight pub/sub messaging for device/IoT telemetry
- RabbitMQ reliable async messaging and task/event queuing between services
- Basic understanding of distributed systems concepts (caching, queues, consistency)
- Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn recent technologies

Good to Have

- • Exposure to transportation, IoT, or fleet management systems
- • Familiarity with GPS data processing or real-time data pipelines
- • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker)
- Interest in event-driven architecture and scalable system design
