Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine Operator role based at Alpha Precision Tools in Coimbatore. The CNC Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor CNC grinding and machining equipment to produce solid carbide and brazed cutting tools according to specifications. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling and machining parameters, and performing routine machine adjustments during production.



The role involves conducting in-process inspections, documenting measurements, and collaborating with the quality team to maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency. The CNC Machine Operator will also perform basic machine maintenance, follow safety procedures, and coordinate with engineering and production teams to meet delivery schedules. Qualifications
• Strong skills in Machine Operation and CNC machinery setup and monitoring.
• Experience in Machining and Milling processes for precision cutting tools.
• Knowledge of Quality Control practices, including dimensional inspection and adherence to tolerances.
• Ability to work with various types of Machinery used in tooling and component manufacturing.
• Prior experience operating 5-axis CNC tool grinders or similar advanced CNC equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, tool diagrams, and use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a robust focus on safety and housekeeping in the workplace.
• Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical engineering, machining, or tool and die making is preferred.
• Willingness to work in shifts as required and collaborate effectively with cross-functional production and quality teams.
