Role Description The UTM Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This role oversees ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM) operations, ensuring that inspections are planned, executed, and documented in accordance with company standards, client requirements, and relevant marine regulations. The UTM Supervisor coordinates inspection teams, allocates tasks, and provides technical guidance on measurement procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing work scopes, monitoring progress, validating measurements and reports, and liaising with clients, surveyors,



and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliverables. The role also involves maintaining inspection equipment, ensuring compliance with quality and safety systems, and supporting training and development of technicians to uphold high service standards. Qualifications
• Robust expertise in ultrasonic thickness measurement, marine inspections, and related NDT techniques.
• Solid understanding of ship structures, hull integrity, and marine engineering principles.
• Experience supervising field teams, coordinating on-site activities, and enforcing safety procedures.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, inspection reports, and classification or regulatory requirements.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, surveyors, and internal teams, with clear report writing abilities.
• Ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects, manage timelines, and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Comfort working in offshore, onshore, and confined-space environments, following all safety and compliance standards.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; UTM/NDT certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in marine inspection, ship repair, classification surveys, or similar domains is highly beneficial.
• Willingness to travel as required for project sites and to work flexible hours based on operational demands.
