HR Manager – Dindigul Ponram Biriyani

We run restaurant outlets across Chennai and Dindigul, along with Catering by Ponram, Amour Bakes & Café, Amour Native Ice Cream and a cloud kitchen. With new outlets on the way, we are building a strong people function to support our growth.

About the Role The HR Manager will lead the complete HR function across all outlets and the corporate office, covering hiring, retention, compliance, payroll, training and HR systems. You will work closely with management and outlet teams to build a stable, skilled and motivated workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Manpower Planning

- Plan manpower for existing and new outlets
- Lead end-to-end hiring for kitchen, service, delivery and corporate roles
- Build a steady pipeline of chefs, supervisors and frontline staff
- Track time-to-hire, joining ratio and hiring cost

Retention & Engagement
- Reduce attrition in kitchen and service teams
- Run exit interviews, engagement and reward programmes
- Oversee staff welfare – accommodation, meals and uniforms

HR Policies & Systems
- Build HR policies, SOPs and the employee handbook
- Standardise HR practices across all outlets
- Implement HRMS for attendance, leave and records

Compliance & Payroll
- Ensure PF, ESI, PT,



POSH and labour law compliance
- Coordinate monthly payroll with accounts
- Design salary structures and incentive policies
- Control manpower cost as a % of sales

Training & Performance
- Drive induction and training programmes
- Set up appraisals, KPIs and probation reviews
- Support internal promotions and succession planning

Employee Relations

- Handle grievances and disciplinary cases fairly
- Manage separations and full & final settlements

Reporting & Administration
- Lead the HR and admin team
- Share monthly HR MIS with management
- Audit HR processes through regular outlet visits
- Plan hiring and onboarding for recent outlet launches

What We're Looking For

- MBA / PGDM in HR preferred
- 5–8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years as a manager
- Experience in restaurants, QSR, hotels or hospitality
- Has managed HR across multiple outlets or branches
- Strong in bulk hiring, statutory compliance and Excel
- Fluent in Tamil and English
- Willing to travel between outlets
