Acompworld is looking for a senior Azure Cloud Architect for a 5-week remote engagement, starting next week, with a US-based enterprise client. The engagement is an Azure migration assessment that will shape a large datacenter-to-Azure program.

What you'll do

- Lead infrastructure discovery with Azure Migrate and reconcile it with existing server inventories
- Design the target Azure landing zone: subscriptions, hub-and-spoke networking, Entra ID, security, monitoring, backup and DR
- Right-size the estate from utilization data and build an Azure cost model, including Azure Hybrid Benefit and licensing options
- Recommend SQL Server (VM vs Managed Instance), file-service and legacy-OS approaches
- Contribute to the security and GxP controls framework and migration wave planning





What we're looking for

- 15+ years in infrastructure, with 8+ years on Microsoft Azure
- Several large on-premises-to-Azure migrations (150+ servers)
- Hands-on landing zone design using the Cloud Adoption Framework
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification
- Transparent communication with US enterprise stakeholders
- Exposure to regulated (GxP / FDA) environments is a plus

Engagement

- Fixed-fee consulting contract, fully remote
- 5 weeks, starting next week
- Reasonable overlap with US time zones for client calls
